Doodling

Sometimes I like to doodle on my stretch pad with my colored pencils. I find it relaxing. I don’t do it often enough. I love color. I loved coloring as a little girl-it was a very important activity to me. Maybe I will have time to doodle for ten minutes later tonight-it can be very meditative to me. Like swimming-I get some of my best thinking done in the pool. I wish us all a good rest of this day.

  1. I’m glad you mentioned doodling with colored pencils. I’m primed to do this yet don’t turn to my pencils and pad often enough. I’m taking your slice as a clear sign!

    • Thank you for your comment. The online course on doodling and emotions sounds like something right up my alley.

  2. Agree, and am inspired to get out my sketchpad and pencils, or at least put them by the TV! You make it seem so simple and fun- inclusive to all. Thanks for the nudge 🙂

    • Thank you Fran for your comment. Nudges are so good. For me like half a baby step. My yoga mat is opposite my computer- I get the half nudge but must move it further along when I am not exhausted at night and tired and half rushing in the morning. Everything can’t be a priority at the same time. I am very happy to be a first year slicer!

  3. I completely agree. I have begun to incorporated doodling in my notebook, which used to be solely dedicated to journaling. It is great for the brain.

    • Thank you for your important comment. Relaxing is so important to allow the nervous system to slow down and recharge and to have creativity spring up again.
